Eligibility. Open to invited and accepted applicants only, checked in with a government-issued ID or passport. You must be above the legal age of majority in your country of residence. Open to all countries and territories, excluding standard exceptions. xAI and SpaceX employees and contractors, and their immediate families, may mentor teams but are not eligible for prizes. Teams are required, maximum size [CONFIRM], and every member must be checked in and listed on the submission. Team matching runs 11:00–11:30 AM if you arrive solo.

What you can build. All code demoed must be written during the hackathon. Open-source libraries, frameworks, boilerplate, and pre-trained models are fine. If you're building on earlier work, disclose it and be clear with judges about what's new; undisclosed pre-existing work is grounds for disqualification. Your project must make non-trivial use of Grok models or the xAI API. Nothing that infringes third-party rights, exposes private data, or violates the xAI Acceptable Use Policy. For Most Users, users must be real and independently verifiable; bots, purchased traffic, and duplicate accounts disqualify the entry.

Ownership. You keep all intellectual property in what you build. By submitting, you grant xAI a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to view, demo, screenshot, and publicize your submission in connection with this event and its promotion.

Judging and prizes. Judging runs 11:00 PM to 12:30 AM, in person at your table. Judges' decisions are final, and xAI may adjust the prize structure based on the submissions received. Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash. Winners are responsible for any taxes. The launch trip is subject to launch scheduling, eligibility, security requirements, and a separate acceptance agreement.

Venue and safety. Badge and wristband visible at all times; re-entry requires your wristband. Follow security and event staff instructions immediately and report safety concerns to CorpSec. Stay in designated areas, this is an active office. Everyone must be out of the building by the end time, no exceptions. You're responsible for your own equipment; xAI is not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged property. The event will be photographed and filmed, and by attending you consent to appearing in that footage.

Code of conduct. We want a room where people do their best work, which requires everyone to behave well. Harassment of any kind is not tolerated, including offensive comments related to gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, race, age, or religion; unwelcome sexual attention; deliberate intimidation; stalking; sustained disruption of demos or judging; and unwelcome physical contact. Respect the space, clean up after yourself, and don't interfere with anyone's ability to work. Build honestly: no misrepresenting your work, plagiarism, or claiming others' code as your own. No weapons, illegal substances, or intoxication on site. Anyone asked to stop harassing behavior is expected to comply immediately. Organizers may expel participants without prize eligibility and refer incidents to CorpSec or law enforcement. Report problems to any staff member or in the event Slack.
